How it works

From the stage to the official result.

JudgeIT turns a live performance into a defensible, published result through five controlled stages — each one protecting the integrity of the outcome.

Stage 01

Set up the competition

An administrator creates the competition and selects its type. The correct judging rubric — categories, sub-criteria, and maximum points — loads automatically, built to the standards used for that discipline.

Contestants are entered, the judging panel and an independent auditor are assigned, and rules such as high/low score exclusion are switched on. While the competition is in setup, it is invisible to judges.

Stage 02

Judges score, live and independent

When the administrator opens scoring, the competition appears for assigned judges. Each judge scores on their own device, in real time, category by category and rubric by rubric.

Judges never see one another's scores, and panels are kept anonymous throughout. Once any judge enters a score, the rubric locks — it cannot be changed mid-competition.

Stage 03

Totals compute automatically

As scores arrive, JudgeIT calculates totals instantly. Where the rules require it, the highest and lowest score for each category are excluded automatically — the standard safeguard against outlier judging in national finals.

There is no hand-tallying, no spreadsheet, and no arithmetic done under time pressure. The numbers are right because the system does the maths.

Stage 04 — the trust gate

The auditor reviews & approves

When every judge has submitted, the competition moves to auditing automatically. An independent auditor reviews the results in full.

Until the auditor approves, no official output can leave the system — results cannot be exported, emailed, printed, or saved as a PDF by anyone, including administrators. This single rule is what makes a JudgeIT result defensible.

Stage 05

Official results are released

Once approved, the competition is completed and every official output unlocks at once: results tables, round-by-round breakdowns, and per-contestant score sheets — all as branded, print-ready PDF documents.

Every score, submission, edit, and approval along the way has been time-stamped and recorded, so the result you announce is one you can stand behind.
